Another clever poker trick is using the “backdoor flush”. This is achieved by hitting a needed card on the turn and river. This is usually a result of a significant statistical lead.
The kitty is a pot of money, which is usually divided equally among all the players. This is usually used to pay for food and new decks of cards. The best way to collect kitty is to cut a low-denomination chip from the pots that have more than one raise. Kitty is not for players who leave the game early.
Aside from bluffing and the other nifty-odds, there are other poker strategies to be aware of. For instance, in some games, the winning hand is decided by counting the number of “straights” or straight flushes.
